This was one of the ideas I had for the cinematic animation scene we have been briefed on. I came up with a simple idea with the emphasis being a play on the popular cartoon tom and jerry. I came up with some ideas for how the characters would look and also did a story board to portray the simple events which would occur.
Next I did a mood board to describe exactly whats going to happen.
The Idea was that the cat (terry) would be sitting down/half asleep guarding the cheese from the mouse. The image above shoves these events as they progress.
The design of the mouse came from, well, a mouse but the whels came from the idea the mouse was like the roadrunner from looney toons. Now since the roadrunner goes really fast i thought actual wheels would be a good way to represent that. Additionally in cartoons when one is running very fast their legs make wheel shapes to represent their speed.
The idea for the cat came from the cat on creature comforts, by nick park. The laziness of the cat and not really caring about the cheese shows why he looks very dopey and not really on the ball.
